Colleen (she/her) comes to The Oxygen Project after a career with Equal Justice USA (EJUSA) where she served as a Senior Strategist from 2009-2025. At EJUSA she was a lead strategist on the successful legislative campaigns to end the death penalty in Illinois, Connecticut, and Nebraska. In Connecticut, she coordinated the nearly 200-strong coalition of murder victims' family members, who were central to repeal. Colleen previously served as the Executive Director of Missourians to Abolish the Death Penalty (2007-09). She currently serves as Board Chair of the Maplewood Community Fund; and is a leader with MRH Equity Alliance. A longtime supporter of The Oxygen Project, she served on The OP Board from 2017-2025. Her main and favorite job is Mom of two kiddos who keep her laughing and sleepy. Colleen is passionate about race equity, transformative justice, and creating a world where every child can thrive.
