Taylor Slabe | Practicum Student
Taylor Slabe is an Advanced Standing MSW Student at the Brown School @WashU with a concentration in children, youth, and families as well as a specialization in violence and injury prevention. At her previous institution, Lindenwood University, she interned with a variety of agencies to receive her BSW and Minor in Spanish. To practice her language skills, she completed 150 hours with the St. Louis Crisis Nursery in the Latinx Program and 400 hours at Monarch Immigrant Services in the Support for Trauma Affected Refugees Program and Teen Mental Health branch. She also studied abroad in Spain for a semester. As an MSW student @WashU Taylor is also completing a practicum with East St. Louis District 189 to receive Macro level experience in the education setting. Earlier this year she was placed at East St. Louis Senior High school to train as a school social worker.
